I've been privileged to speak on various platforms online & offline on The Power of Social Media. I have also heard people's comments from both sides if the aisle on the subject. Many conservatives seem to only see the not-so-good side of Social Media.

You see this "F" app called facebook ehn,
 you can't overestimate its powers.

It is many things to many people.
To some, a platform for chit-chat,
To others a place to find love.
Another use it to stay is touch with things & those who matter to them.
While others use it as tool for business promotions.

Facebook is to you what you have the capacity & skill to make it become. Like a wet clay in the hands of a potter, craft it into what you CAN.

If you're not making the most out of Facebook and in fact all the social media platforms, it is because you have not developed your Digital Media skills & Capacity.

It is not about the platform, it is about you. As it is in real life, so it is on Social Media- Your skill and Capacity determine your exploits.
