My Birthday Adventure into the Year 2045...

I’m not worried about how I suddenly got here. Imagination can take us places.
It’s my birthday, so having a deeper thought of what I want the coming years to be like is today more spiritual than usual. That took me on psychogenic tour into the future.
The morning devotion is a bit longer and deeper than usual; there are countless reasons to be grateful for the past, present and the future. Who ever thought Eyitayo will come this far before quitting on life; who had the audacity to think I'll be here today dreaming. No one, not even me. Indeed, God is good.

I have no choice than enjoy the ride

Basic Office Ettiquette

Little Foxes, they say, Spoil the Vine; That is why you shouldn’t allow those things you consider minor dent colleagues’ perception of you. The list of office misdemeanor is endless but I have outlined a few of them. If you find yourself doing the wrong thing, adjust and be the colleague everybody looks forward to working with.

Here are a few of the Basic office Etiquette:

...Now

I will start the task;
can’t wait any longer,
not for the sun to rise
nor the sky be blue;
I will set out and do it.

I will be instant now;
can’t snooze anymore,
not for superfluous nap
nor for inept slumber;
I will act and now.

Why I'm still Single

A new friend, after a brief chat said “my regards to your wife and kids” as a parting shot.  Before I could explain to him in my modest words, another guy just cut in “it’ll make more sense if you send those regards to cockroaches and rats in his room because he neither has a wife nor a kid.” Yekpa!  All I left the scene with was a lame grin. I went back to my cockroaches and rats; after a thought for a while I see no reason why my decision should change so suddenly especially because someone who doesn’t care about what I think of marriage made a joke out of my bachelorhood.

The rate at which people ask me when I will be getting married these days is embarrassingly becoming a thing of concern to me.

President Goodluck Jonathan's Independence Day Speech 2012

“Beloved countrymen and women, on this day, fifty-two years ago, our founding fathers brought joy and hope to the hearts of our people when they won independence for our great country. Nigeria made a clean break with more than six decades of colonial rule, and emerged as a truly independent nation. That turning point was a new beginning for our nation.
Those who witnessed the lowering of the Union Jack and the emergence of the Green White Green flag continue to relish the memory, because that ceremony was not just about the destiny of a nation, but the future of a people.
That future is here; we are the inheritors of a great legacy that goes even much farther into the past.
