The Nollywood sensation, Funke Akindele, also popularly called Jenifa was few days ago listed as one of the casts for the Movie Avenger: Infinity Wars. That information was published on the IMDB website revealing that she will be featured alongside the international movie stars like Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth, the news generated a lot of social media reactions.
Barely 24 hours after that news went viral
on the social media and even spotted the first place in Twitter NG Trend, Funke Akindele's name has been removed from the cast and replaced with that of her colleague, Genevieve NNaji. As at the time of doing this post, neither of the two actresses have said a thing about it.
Could this just be a deliberate publicity stunt by Marvel Studio to get people talking about the movie? Nothing is impossible! Believe me, I personally wouldn't know there was any such work in progress as Avengers: Infinity Wars if not for the reactions on social media. I didn't bulge until the news of the replacement of Funke's name with Genevieve's started making rounds. As much as this is a personal view, I reiterrate that nothing is impossible considering the fact that the more people get talking about the movie, the more popular it gets and the more money it will rake in.
